You can always tell when someone’s from Camden – because they’ll tell you. “This is God’s country” is constantly muttered at the pubs on the main street, and that’s before locals have even touched their beers.


In an ever-changing world, it seems Camden has learnt to stay still. It’s a relic from the past, standing firm as developers bulldoze right up to its doorstep with factory-produced blobs of homes and their matching letterboxes. It’s easy to see why Camden locals love it so much. Most swear they’ll never leave, and they’ll do everything to protect its charm while they’re here.
