Last night the sounds of 80s rock echoed throughout Barenz, when Steve Hart and the Allstars band and DJ Dee brought the house down for the launch event of Spirit of Camden for this very website - camdenvillage.com.au
Over 120 guests, members, community group representatives, and local businesses packed the Barenz function spaces for the event where food, drink and music was part of bringing this collaborative online space to life.
Proudly supported by the NSW Government's Uptown Grant, State Member for Camden, Sally Quinnell congratulated Spirit of Camden for its work over the past year. Also present were Federal Opposition Leader, Angus Taylor and Liberal Candidate for Camden Mick Willing.
The evening's MC, Glenn Millanta told the crowd the event was the culmination of the two years of work to bring people together to work on community led promotional projects for Camden.
Chair of Spirit of Camden, Matt Glynn spoke of the team's hard work and dedication to bringing vibrancy to Camden before the talented Steve Hart and the Allstars rocked into the night. With these outstanding band members, it was an sensational night - Joel McDonald (Frankies Famouse House band & Rose Tattoo), Rohan Connon (Choir Boys), Johnny Waller (Avion & The Party Boys) and Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals).
Annual membership for Spirit of Camden is now available to individuals, organisations and businesses for just $30 and with that, you get a business directory listing on the website.
